Dieses Dessin ist vom Ort Kailua an der bezaubernden Ostküste der Insel Oahu, wo Palmen das Bild prägen, inspiriert und verdankt diesem Ort auch seinen Namen. Für diese Tapete wurden die wogenden Palmen mit Rattanstücken auf einem Untergrund aus Bark Cloth, einem faserigen Tuch aus der Rinde von Feigenbäumen, eingelegt. Das Ergebnis ist eine besonders realistische Interpretation, die an der Wand ihre ganze Pracht entfaltet.
